Meet Your Instructor: Ricky Coll

Ricky Coll, also known as Ricky Morales Coll, is a Miami-based music instructor, singer, guitarist, songwriter, and recording artist. Through Star Lessons, he offers personalized private music lessons for students in Miami, including in-home guitar, piano, and voice lessons.

With more than 30 years of teaching experience, Ricky helps students build musical skills step by step. Lessons are shaped around each student’s interests, experience, and goals—whether they’re just starting out, returning to an instrument, or ready to develop their technique and confidence.

Guitar lessons can cover fundamentals, chords, strumming, rhythm, reading tabs, and learning songs. Piano lessons can include technique, timing, sight-reading, and playing music students enjoy. Voice lessons focus on skills such as pitch, breathing, timing, and expressive singing. Ricky’s approach is encouraging and practical, breaking challenging skills into manageable steps and helping students track their progress.

As a bilingual instructor, Ricky teaches in English or Spanish. His experience as a working musician and recording artist brings a real-world perspective to lessons, while his teaching remains focused on each student’s individual pace and musical interests.
